Welcome to our website. Here we gladly inform you about Museumplaats and our services.

Museumplaats offers a virtual marketplace for cultural institutions and companies, where supply and demand meet. All kinds of materials can be vended here, everything except the arts: (used) exhibition materials, pedestals, showcases, radios – anything that might be of use.

One of the goals of Museumplaats is to stimulate recycling of materials – this benefits the budget, as well as the environment. In addition, more is shared through this online meeting point; new acquaintances lead to exchange of knowledge.

But there is more.

A lot of time and effort is put into making beautiful exhibitions, but what happens with the exhibition materials afterwards? Often materials are stored for later use. However, most of the times we find that they are still discarded years later. A waste – of materials and space - and also not necessary! There might be fellow institutions that can really use it.

Museumplaats is initialized by professionals in the cultural field who, unfortunately, have seen this happen too many times. They decided to offer a solution by starting the website, and creating a platform for exchange of materials and knowledge. This makes beautiful exhibitions possible, while helping others and caring about the environment as well.

To simplify the exchange, we are there to help! For this we introduce additional services such as:

• MP photo service: our MP team comes to photograph the materials you would like to share. We also place the advertisement on our site and correspond with possible buyers for you.
• MP express: when your add has been successful and you have found a buyer for your materials, we can arrange transport. Our team picks up whatever you have sold and brings it to the new owner.

It has never been easier to be more conscious about the environment, and help fellow institutions at the same time!
